Pukyongosaurus gehörte zur Familie der pflanzenfressenden Sauropoden und weist Ähnlichkeiten mit Euhelopus auf. Er lebte in der Kreidezeit vor etwa 120 Millionen Jahren im heutigen Südkorea. Der Fund besteht aus sieben Halswirbeln und einem Rückenwirbel, Teilen des Schlüsselbeins, einigen Chevron- und anderen isolierten Knochen. Der Fund gilt wegen der unvollständigen Fossilien als
