Paronychodon ist lediglich durch Zähne bekannt. Er war ein kleiner Theropode und lebte am Ende der Kreidezeit im heutigen Nordamerika. Es handelt sich bei dem Fund vermutlich um einen Coelurosaurier, eventuell auch um einen Troodontiden. Eine genaue Klassifizierung ist wegen des spärlichen Fundes nicht möglich.
