Die phylogenetische Zugehörigkeit von Vorona ist aufgrund der stark fragmentierten Fossilien nur schwer zu bestimmen. Die fossilen Überreste von Vorona, fragmentierte Teile der Beine, zeigen eine Mischung aus primitiven sowie modernen Merkmalen.
